About Us

We’re Jason and Ashley Barnett, and Highland Oak Farm is the result of a long-held dream.  One shaped by a desire to slow down, grow what we eat, share the abundance, and build something lasting together. 

Highland Oak Farm primarily grows herbs that we air dry and blend into herbal teas, infuse into skincare, and sell in bulk. While we aren't certified organic, we use organic practices. We do not spray any of our herbs with synthetic pesticides or herbicides unless facing a crop loss and use manure as fertilizer. We always welcome questions about how we grow our herbs and will give you honest answers.

After 18 years of marriage, 3 kids, (and nearly as long imagining this life), we finally found our place here in Lynchburg, Ohio on our 30 acre farm.  It's a place that's a little wild around the edges, full of purpose, and rooted in the kind of work that is fulfilling. This farm is our response to a world that moves too fast and takes too much. Here, we raise animals, grow food, and make space for rest, both ours and yours.

It’s not always tidy. Our days are full and our to-do list never ends. But we love it. We’re building a life that feels more like home every season, and we’re so glad you’ve found your way here.

We believe in early mornings (well, at least Jason does), honest work, real food, and conversations that stretch long into the evening. We raise our animals with care, grow what we can, and are building a business that reflects what we value: simplicity, sustainability, and joy.
